After an early season game with Bath & Wilts FC, ASC travelled a long way on a wet cold day expecting a tough battle with the team they had previously drawn 1-1 with.
The home side started off well; however, ASC quickly gained the upper hand. Sterling performances from Tom Black (2) and Cameron Braganza-Osman ensured the visitors went into the break convincingly ahead. With deterioration in the weather going into the second half, the ball was skidding wildly on the pitch and some excellent saves from Michael Christmas-Boulton kept ASC a clean sheet.
A final goal from the in-form Ben Evans ensured a very comfortable victory and a 3-0 win to end the season on a high note.
Players and spectators alike are keenly looking forward to the Dads match come the end of season Bar-B-Que, where they can once again see the silky Hoddlesque skills of the outstanding Jim Osman, who some hailed as ‘magnificent’, ‘outstanding’ and ‘magical’ in last year’s event.
