Great start to the season, top of the league!!

The game started slowly with both sides getting used to playing again in a competitive match.

The first Elite chance fell to Ash who shot wide, another effort also saw Ash head the ball just past the post.

Elite were finding their feet and a move starting with Ash on the left saw him turn the defender before passing to Euan who crossed to Kezza who scored Elites first goal. Str 0 - 1 ESC

The next chance came as Kezza crossed for Ash this time but this shot just went wide. Elite had a lot of the chances with a couple of corners and a Kezza shot going wide.

James was playing well in defence and came out with the ball before passing down the line to Ash who played a diagonal ball into Kezza only for the shot to hit the post.

With confidence high Ash began to show off some skills getting beyond the defence before chipping into the box only for the ball to be cleared away by Stratton. A charge up the field by Oli saw his shot parried by the keeper into the path of Euan who converted for the second goal. Str 0 - 2 ESC.

The last action of the first half fell to Harry who shot wide of the post.

The second half started well for Elite early pressure leading to a couple of corners. James again got into the action picking the ball up in midfield and passing to Ash who ran towards goal before cooly slipping the ball past the keeper with the outside of his right foot. Str 0 - 3 ESC.

This seemed to spur Elite on with some slick passing between Ash and Oli saw Oli through on goal before cutting inside and scoring for Elites fourth. Str 0 - 4 ESC

The midfield began to link up well and Sean latched onto the ball sliding Ash in who managed to hit the post. More pressure saw Elite with a couple of corners which saw James curling one in from the right hand side straight into the goal. Str 0 - 5 ESC

With all the action at the opposite end of the field Sam had little to do in goal but made a great save when Stratton had a shot on goal leading to a corner which was easily cleared away.

A good run by Kezza down the left hand side resulted in a cross/shot which beat the keeper only to see Oli fall over in the box and try to head the ball in from the ground. Elite were well in control and had several charges towards goal before Sean again battled hard to get the ball out to Harry who scored for Elites sixth. Str 0 - 6 ESC

Again a lot pressure from Elite saw the Stratton keeper very busy saving several shots before another goal mouth scramble saw Ash's shot parried by the keeper into Sean's path before blasting home his first. Str 0 - 7 ESC

Another link up between Ash and Sean ended with Sean's second of th e match. Str 0 - 8 ESC

A good strong performance from Elite which sets the tone for the rest of the season!
