Well it was a welcome back match for me as I have been away on courses for the last two games.

We kick off today away to Fairford Town and I must say for the first 10 mins we moved the ball around really well. All the kids worked very hard today as the weather changed to rain!! Despite the tricky conditions they continued to try and maintain shape and pass the ball to open the other team up.

Joe started the day off in goal and did well between the sticks...one piece of play sticks in my head when he receives the ball out of the box and then looks up and plays a terrific ball down the line to Jack W – well done Joe.

Fairford kept going and didn’t roll over when we scored, in fact they pushed forward looking to equalise immediately. The lads kept things tight and we did manage to get another before the half.

The second half with conditions pretty much the same – RAIN!!

Ben and Henry put in a good shift, as did Harry playing at the back reliable and consistent – Well done you three.

As a team we need to ensure that we continue to work hard in training and bring it to the game on the Sunday.
