On a blustery and windy day, ASC started their penultimate game of the year against a Pumas team, third in the Division.
Playing uphill and against the wind, ASC played the majority of the first period camped in their own half. Both Charlie and Jack were kept busy with their defensive duties and Michael kept on his toes to stop the waves of Puma's attacks. Ben and Alex fought hard in midfield to try and get control of the ball but found it hard to get it to Sam and Henry who hardly had a touch. Despite their best efforts, it came as no surprise when, following a strong run from the Pumas left wing, the ball was struck firmly across goal and unfortunately deflected into the ASC goal by Charlie. Without a single attempt on goal, the half time whistle couldn't come quick enough for ASC.

Woken from their 1st half sluggishness and with the wind behind their backs, the second half saw a completely changed ASC team. Jack and Charlie had total control at the back and started to push further forward giving Ben and Alex together with Harry more freedom in midfield. Cameron started to see more of the ball and from one of these runs, saw his cross finish at the feet of Ben who slotted home from a yard. ASC now took complete control of the game and within 5 mins were further ahead. Jack collected the ball inside his own half and after a strong run beating several players, his firm cross found Ben unmarked, who turned and slotted the ball past the keeper. Ferndale started to throw more players forward seeking an equaliser, they created a number of chances but the ASC defence stood firm with Michael only called into action a couple of times. As gaps started to appear in the Puma's defence, both Sam and Cameron were given shooting opportunites, one run from Cameron saw him upended inside the Puma's penalty area and despite the vigerous calls for a penalty from the touchline, play was waved on.
