Friendly match number 5 saw us entertain Ramsbury and with Alex and Joe C unavailable this gave us a chance to bring in a couple of new players in Joe S and Matthew. Although a little nervous to start with both these players soon relaxed after scoring goals in the first half and continued to do well and enjoy themselves throughout the match.

Again our shape wasn’t the best it’s been, but with different players coming in and out of the team at the moment this is to be expected. But Dave and I now feel we’ve got an excellent squad of players to work with and we’re really looking forward to next season.

Even with a couple of debutants in the team, the understanding these players have with each other at such a young age is fantastic to see. There were some great passages of play within the match, with all players being aware of other player’s positions and on several occasions there were good passes played. Technically these players are improving week by week and it’s great to see them all looking so keen to learn and to take everything on board.
