Today’s afternoon fixture was our first home game of the season and what a game!! 9 goal thriller.
We entered the unknown as we hadn’t come across Swindon Supermarine last season.
We were wearing our new kit this week and would like to thank our sponsors one-o-one www.onestoplunches.co.uk and KCS www.kcs-swindon.co.uk
I think you will all agree all the kids looked fantastic in the new kits.I experimented with changing some of the lads round in different positions.
We started the game with Connor in goal, Harry, Ryan & Henry playing at the back with Jack & Joe in the middle with Ben up front. Swindon Supermarine started the game better than us and scored some good goals, I knew the first half would be difficult but at half time we were 4-1 down. Our goal coming from a good strike from Jack Joe had two good chances as well in the first half and although they didn’t go in he never let his head go down.
Connor did well in goal making a couple crucial saves to prevent the score increasing.
Half time we switched it around and lined up with Ben in goal, Harry, Joe, Henry at the back with Connor & Jack in the middle and Ryan up top.
The second half was nail biting to say the least as ASC came back to 4-4 with a couple of minutes left on the clock we were left short in defence only for Supermarine to capitalise and score to make it 5 -4
Last week’s Supporters Player of the day Ryan was captain for today and did well scoring 1, Connor scored 2, Jack scored 1
I would like to mention that Ryan’s work rate for the two opening games has been excellent. There is a long way to go in the season and I think things look promising for the future games ahead.
Supporters Kid of the week went Connor and he will be captain next week – WELL DONE CONNOR
Finally, I would like to thank the referee Pat only got a couple of decisions wrong haha but in all seriousness thanks Pat
