ASC Youth U8’s failed to build on last week’s momentum as they travelled away to meet one of the stronger sides, Swindon Rangers, on a cold, wet, muddy morning.
Being without key players Seamus Drake and new signing Sam Singa, both usually in defence, ASC started the game hesitantly. They paid for it early on with two goals from errors near the goalmouth. That wasn’t the end of it for the first half when they conceded a further two more and the half time score line finished 4-0.
After some repositioning and a good half time team talk by the Manager, ASC came out fighting and showed every reason why they are rated as one of top sides.
Goals from Cameron Braganza and Jack Paine earned the side a small, but deserved reward in a 4-2 defeat.
