Elite Soccer Coaching 10 - 2 Greenmeadow 'A'

Elite made the better start of the two teams with James giving the oppositions left side lots of trouble with some strong runs and crossing into the box.

Despite the pressure Greenmeadow looked likely to score in the first five minutes with a shot going wide of the post.

A link up between James and Oliver O'shea saw Oli's shot deflected wide. Greenmeadow responded with a couple of corners which were scrambled away.

A typical James run down the wing saw the cross land near to Oli who managed to score with his right foot. ESC 1 - 0 GMW.

It wasnt long before a repetition saw James and Oli linking up again for Oli's second. ESC 2 - 0 GMW

Another Elite attack saw Oli Sinclair with the ball on the edge of the crowded box, a speculative chip saw the ball dip just under the bar for Elites 3rd. ESC 3 - 0 GMW

Greenmeadow were not out of it yet and forced a corner which was cleared away and another attack gave Charlie a chance to make a good diving save. Unfortunately the ball fell to a Greenmeadow player who managed to make some space and slot the ball home. ESC 3 - 1 GMW

Ash and Sean began linking up on the right side, with Ash passing to Sean who had a shot go just wide. Ash picked up the ball in the middle of the field and made a run on goal, his shot was saved by the keeper but Oli O was on hand to put the ball in the net. ESC 4 - 1 GMW

Another jinking run on goal by Ash ended with ball hitting the post. Ash again picked up the ball in midfield and a good through ball to Oli O enabled Oli to slot home another goal just before half time. ESC 5 - 1 GMW

At the start of the second half Greenmeadow were out to prove they were still in the game and had the first shot on goal which just went above the crossbar.

Euan made a run down the wing and passed to Ash who went past a couple of defenders before shooting and hitting the post again. Elite were continuing with the pressure and had few shots go wide before Ash got the ball outside the box and made a run past a couple of defenders and shot with his right for Elites 6th goal. ESC 6 - 1 GMW

Greenmeadow hit back with an attack that forced Charlie to make another good diving save to his right. The resulting pressure enabled Greenmeadow to get another goal back. ESC 6 - 2 GMW

Elite werent finished yet and good clearance from Kezza in defence saw Oli O away with the ball blasting past the keeper. ESC 7 - 2 GMW

An Elite corner enabled James to swing the ball in for Oli O to score once more. ESC 8 - 2 GMW

With Oli O on fire every attack seemed to end in a goal and another two goals were to go in before the match ended. ESC 10 - 2 GMW.

Well done to Oli who managed to start his first game for Elite and score 7 goals!!!
