We had a break from league action today, as we entertained Old Town Utd in the second round of the County Cup and we were looking to get ourselves back to winning ways and more importantly to start playing good football again and I’m happy to say that we managed both.

Within two minutes of the kick off we found ourselves 1-0 up when Jack lobbed the keeper and this allowed us to relax and play our passing game. This was just what we needed after our recent run of poor results and today we looked back to our confident selves again, going in 7-0 up at the break thanks to braces from Jack, Ciaran and Kez and one from Aaron.

Into the second half and we scored another seven, Aaron 2, Will 2, Jack 2 and Kez 1 to round off an emphatic win with a good honest display. With a strong wind firstly behind us and then against us we showed great composure on the ball and moved it around really well and the signs are that we may be getting back to playing how we know we can.
