A Saturday lunchtime kickoff saw ESC taking on a Shrivenham side that had held them to draw at their ground.
S&W started off well and attacking the ESC goal were given a FK just inside the ESC half. The FK was well struck and went just wide of the post as ESC were still sorting out their defence.
ESC then settled and started to play football with an early corner which went sailing over everyones heads.
A run down the right side gave ESC a throwin deep in the SW half. Ash picked up the ball and threw long the defender miskicked the ball and Oli O'Shea volleyed the ball into the net. ESC 1 - 0 SW
This was the turning point and ESC were having the better chances with an Oli O'Shea shot being saved on the line.
With a switch of wingers Euan had a run down the left side and crossed the ball into the box finding James who headed the ball into the net. ESC 2 - 0SW
Again ESC controlled the midfield and with Oli receiving a ball from the defence he flicked the ball wide to James who took a touch and then slammed home his second. ESC 3 - 0 SW
SW didnt give up and kept Razor interested by making him save a couple of shots before the half finished. ESC 3 - 0 SW
The second half began as ESC had finished the first with lots of pressure and an early corner. There was a bit of a goalmouth scramble with Gareth shooting and the ball deflected by the defender into the net. ESC 4 - 0 SW
ESC were confident now and the next chance fell to Ash who picked up a ball outside the box and hit a hard shot which was well saved by the keeper the ball came straight back to Ash who shot again just wide of the post.
More chances came with Sean shooting wide of the goal and Kezza hitting the post. SW tried to get back into the game and the final shot of the game fell to them which went over the crossbar.
A good clean game played with spirit and sportsmanship on both sides. ESC 4 - 0 SW
