Back to the league fixtures this week and a trip into Swindon to face Ferndale Rodbourne. As both Elite and FR have a decent amount of players signed on it was decided to play 4 periods of 15 minutes to give every player a good amount of time on the pitch.
Elite started the match strongly with a number of good goals, but more importantly the players are now starting to pass the ball and learn to play as a team to keep possession. Although Regan, Jack and Ben were the names on the score sheet today Craig and I were just as impressed with the contribution made by all the players, who for the majority of the match kept their shape well.
The most pleasing thing to happen from our point of view today was the way we scored our 4th goal. After consistently working on passing and awareness of other players over the last month or so, it was great to see a move starting in our own half with the ball being passed through five players before being finished off by Regan. Let’s hope we can build on this in the future, well done everyone!!!
