A visit to a team at the bottom of the table who are having a good run at the moment.

Elite started well with lots of early possession and had a few chances go wide of the post. The early pressure saw Euan make a mazy run down the left before crossing into box for Oli Sinclair to tap in from close range. GM 0 - 1 ESC

Again lots of pressure from Elite saw shots from Euan and Oli S go wide of the goal. Greenmeadow made some attacks on goal without any result. A GM freekick was awarded outside the box and the shot was headed over the bar by Rhys to give GM a corner. This was a well taken corner looking like this had been practiced a lot in training and the cross was easily headed into the Elite net for an equaliser. GM 1 -1 ESC

GM were now filled with confidence and it wasnt long before they took the lead with a well taken goal. GM 2 - 1 ESC

ESC were now under pressure and needed to get something out of this game. A quick through ball sent Oli O'Shea through on goal and rounded the keeper to slot the ball home for the equaliser. GM 2 - 2 ESC

The second half was mostly under Elites control but they couldnt get the ball into the net. GM looked like snatching the points at times and only some good defensive tackling kept them out. Elite should have had at least one penalty towards the end when Oli O'Shea was tripped in the box just as he was about to shoot but it wasnt given.

In summary another opportunity to close the gap at the top but Elite looked very lack lustre at times and didnt look like they wanted the win. With Wootton Bassett drawing with Wroughton a good chance to close the gap has been lost. One plus point is that Elite are still unbeaten this season.
