A really tough game today with both sides going in unbeaten. This game will probably be remembered more for the refereeing and side line antics than the football on the pitch.

Elite were focussed on the task in hand and made all the early running with Oli O'Shea having an early shot saved by the keeper. To everyones surprise a break through the middle with Ash making an unselfish pass to Euan gave him the opportunity to open the scoring. WBA 0 - 1 ESC

WB were not out and came back earning a Free kick which went wide. Ash and Oli O'Shea linked up well in the middle having a run at goal, Oli O's shot going wide. This wasnt going to be Oli's day!!

Another attack on the WB goal saw Ash's shot hit the post and roll back across the line but wasnt given only for the ball to fall to Euan to officially put it in the net. WBA 0 - 2 ESC

Elite were well on top of the game and had several more chances which couldnt be converted. Unfortunately WB had a rare attack on the Elite goal and managed to get a goal back. WBA 1 - 2 ESC

The half finished with Elite in the lead by one goal.

The second half started as the first finished with Elite making a lot of attacks on goal and gaining some corners. This is where Elite should have had at least one penalty - the first for a push in the back on Ash who was just about to header the ball and the second a blatent hand ball by the defender in the box - neither were given.

Undettered Elite carried on playing the better football, stroking the ball around the pitch only to be thwarted by the WB defence who were quick to close down the attacks. Sean had a tough match riding a lot of hard tackles and pushes into the back only to get a talking to from the ref......

Elite again peppered the WB goal but the luck wasnt with them and another rare break caught Elite out very late in the half for WB to equalise. WBA 2 - 2 ESC

Elite were very unlucky not to hold onto the lead as they played much better football throughout the whole game.

If the boys continue to play their football the way they did today they will get their rewards
