ASC Youth FC has just been informed that it has been granted the prestigious FA Charter Standard Award. This is something the club has been working tirelessly to achieve over the last 6 months and has come as a timely Xmas present for the club.
Well, done to all committee members, managers, players and parents who have helped to make this possible!!!
As part of our Development Centre programme we took our U8 and U9 players along to the Reading Academy to play against some of the trialists and Academy players.
It was a great day out with the U8's playing in the morning and the U9's in the afternoon. The standard was very high and all of our boys showed they could compete with the Reading boys which was great for us to see.
Joe and I are confident that the players we've had in the centre have progressed since they've been with us. This has been proven by the fact that 3 of the boys who played at Reading have now been invited into the Academy for further trials.
Regards Nick
Looking forward to the 09/10 season and our football club will no longer be called Elite Soccer Coaching FC, but will now run under the name of ASC Youth FC. I am proud to announce that ASC Youth has again expanded and we will be entering 5 teams into the North Wilts and District League.
U7's: This will be a brand new team which will be managed by last seasons successful U9's manager Joe Hockham.
U8's: Due to the success of last years team we now have enough players to form 2 U8's teams for 09/10 season, Craig Wykeham-Martin will manage the U8's C team and James Whitlock will be manager of the U8's J team.
U10's: Paul Gillie is looking forward to taking over as U10's manager after seeing Joe drop down to form the new U7's and he will be keen to keep the momentum going and develop this group of players even further. Last season this team won their league and were also North Wilts Cup Finalists.
U13's: This is the former Lydiard Youth team which Nick has coached for the last 4 years who have now come over to become part of the ASC Youth set up. This team are current holders of The Wiltshire County Cup and The North Wilts & District Cup as well as finishing runners up in Division 1 last season.
Here's wishing everyone involved with ASC Youth a very happy 2009/10 season.

Thanks to everyone connected with our club who attended the Broad Town School Fete where we held various stalls, including 'Beat the Goalie', 'Football Target Shooting', 'Coconut Shy' and 'Nail Painting' which helped raise a massive £4389 for the school. Also well done to our members who entered and completed the 5 mile fun run, see you all again next year!!!
Congratulations to our U9's team who capped off a great first season of competitive football by winning the league title and finishing runners up in the League Cup.
