After School / PPA Sessions
Advanced Sports Coaching is currently running a considerable number of after school clubs in the Wiltshire area. Our belief is that children benefit hugely from involvement in sport as it facilitates their education not just physically, but also academically, mentally and socially.
We are available to run sessions to meet the individual needs of schools and can cater for boys and girls of any age and ability.
So what can Schools expect from an Advanced Sports Coaching session?
All our sessions consist of:
- Warm Up
- Topic of the day (i.e. Shooting, Turning, Dribbling, Heading, etc.)
- Small Sided Game
Throughout the sessions participants are encouraged to ask and answer questions to encourage learning (Guided Discovery) and it is our priority to ensure that participants leave our sessions having not only enjoyed themselves but also having learnt something new.
We ensure that all our sessions are:
- Run by fully qualified FA coaches.
- Adapted to the participants level of ability.
- Delivered to a high standard.
- A safe learning environment for all participants.

Planning, Preparation & Assessment (P.P.A.) Time/P.E. Lessons
Government Directives now guarantee teachers in maintained schools in England and Wales ten per cent of their timetabled teaching to be set aside as preparation, planning and assessment (PPA) time during the school day.
The aim of this allocation of time is to encourage collaborative professional activity in the preparation of high quality lessons and to increase the work/life balance of teachers.
As a result of this, Advanced Sports Coaching can now help schools cover PPA Time with our wide range of sports coaching sessions, all of which are carried out by our highly trained/CRB checked staff. Below are some of the sports covered, but please check back regularly as we will be continually adding to the list of sports we can offer.
